My car pipes noise from the engine compartment into the passenger cabin through a sound symposer. It was annoying so I disabled it.

Same here. I hate it too, but haven't bother to disable it.
I didn't buy a delete kit. There's a plug near the battery which can be unplugged to disable it. I taped over the plug to protect it.
