Help Me Obi-Wan.

Help Me Obi-Wan.

Wasn't able to catch The Last Jedi at the cinema when it came out so have been waiting, carefully avoiding any discussions about the film, reviews and spoliers.

Now sitting down with the wife and am half way through watching the bluray and I cant shift the horrible feeling that this one is a turkey.

Is is worth sticking with to the end?

FWIW - Loved Ep 4-6 from childhood. Hated 1-3 for obvious reasons. Enjoyed Force awakens mostly due to episodes 1-3. LOVED Rogue One.

Help me Imgur Obi-Wans! Should I trust my feelings?

I personally hated it, Rogue One has been the only decent new Star Wars movie.

I thought it was great- but you should definitely never watch the end and post about your ‘crisis’ (jeezus fk!)

I liked it for what it was. But there have only been 2 really great Star Wars movies. And they were made over 38 years ago

All the movies are pretty goofy rewatching the 4-6 ones especially. Theyre just films and do not dictate your life. Its ok to dislike it

It’s fine but it’s definitely a “shut your brain off” movie which isn’t consistent with Star Wars. I can understand the frustration.

I hate that I felt the same way halfway through in the theater. I really wanted to like it.

It's shit and there's a lot of reasons why that you're probably picking up on but can't articulate yet. I'd say finish it anyway.

No SW films will ever feel the same to us as they did when we were nips and innocent. I enjoy them now for the humor and pisstaking.

I am also a huge fan but lost it when Disney bought it. I gave up on last Jedi when that narrative hit it in the middle with the mirrors.

That's why I rent digitally before deciding to buy a movie. Then I'm only out $4-6 if it sucks.

Watch it just to say you did. Overall it was a shite movie

I was a little disappointed but it can be enjoyable if you don't have overgrown expectations.

It's not a bad star wars movie... It's just a bad movie in general

Those new movies suck, old ones were my jam

If you loved TFA because you hated the PT, you’ll love the PT now because you hate TLJ.

Nothing to be ashamed about, TLJ is by far the worst of the lot for all the reasons.

It's a Star Wars movie.

After it came out in theatres (and after the negative reaction from fans), I just read its Wikipedia page and saved myself time and money.

It's just a movie who the fuck cares?

OP, all the people bothering to respond, you.....

You care if you developed a childhood connection to the franchise I think. If not then sure, it's just a movie

Well, if it’s so important to you, why *wouldn’t* you watch it to the end?

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

because its not important, they just expect a movie to somehow deliver the same feelings they had as a child.
