My best tip for back pain: Just remove back and rinse under slightly cold tap water, leave to dry and install after 24 hours.

Went to a physiotherapist for 2 years just to find out I had to buy a better matress

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Please just go to a physiotherapist. The causes for back pain are very diverse and it's very easy to make it worse!

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

better hack: morphine

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Not to be pretentious but no muscle "causes" back pain.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 2

Depends on the back pain.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

The guy in the last pic has a really cute butt <3

9 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 1

I also have a cute butt. My mom said so.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Check with multiple health professionals first. I had glutes and obliques that wouldn't fire, leading to alignment and SI-joint issues

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Doctors were utterly useless for me, because they don't understand alignment so well; but it could have been something else.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

#8 I could win medals for the best back if Pos2 improves your back. Haaaaaaaaaa gotta love depression.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Likewise...

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

I find plenty of walking helps.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 2

Yes unless your poor posture and mobility gives you bad walking movement and makes things worse

I recently had lower back pain, turned out to be kidney stones. See a doctor first before doing this stuff.

9 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 1

Have you try it, maybe kidney stones disappear when you put a pillow under your dick

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I learnt the only way to get rid of kidney stones is to drink a lot more water and flush them out

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yeah, my lower back pain was (almost) solved my managing my endometriosis. There are many causes and much better to treat the cause.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I like the hammock :-D As for sitting straight, does not work for me, infact causes pain. My chair is angled 135deg for working.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I have that foot hammock and it's awful!

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Goodbye hopes and dreams.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Somehow none of this helped my herniated disc.

9 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 1

I'm quite sure it wasn't meant to. See a doctor or do deeper independent research.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

A lot of it would but you need to be careful

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

And if you have a neck pain just turn your head 360 degrees

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

Best treatment I've found for lower back pain .....

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 2

Should also include proper body mechanics while lifting heavy objects. Always. No exceptions.I made that mistake and should have known better

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Me too, man, me too

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Same, life long sciatica since 16. Always tell people to lift/pull things properly.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Back pain: Hacked. *typing on a persons back* "I'm in."

9 years ago | Likes 48 Dislikes 1

*typing furiously* I've found the backdoor!

9 years ago | Likes 19 Dislikes 0

You need more points

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

I have severe spinal stenosis in my lower back and neck, degenerative disc disease, advanced arthritis etc. Please check with a Dr. first.

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

I would add see a "real" Doctor. NOT a chiropractor

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

I have a Neurologist, Family Doc, Pain Doc, and Orthopedic Surgeon that are my medical team. However, I do see a chiropractor for migraines

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

That are associated with my Spinal Stenosis in my neck. I've had a dual fusion and bone graft done on my neck and now have two more disc out

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I have the same back crap that you do. sucks. I just fail to see how seeing a chiropractor does anything to treat a migraine. it's just 1/

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Well I went to the chiro with a migraine I'd had for about 4 days. The first time he did an adjustment the migraine went away. That's all.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

to structural damage). it's 100% placebo affect and carries a significant risk of actually exacerbating retain problems. 3/3

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

plain pseudoscience quackery. show me any evidence at all that chiro actually heals any condition (before and after MRIs showing repair 2/

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yeah this is muscle pain, not back pain. It took me begging with docs for an mri they thought I was too young for anything beyond muscle.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

After my doc apologized for doubting then told me I'm SOL.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I am in exactly the same predicament.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It took me almost 10 years to get a pain doc that would listen to me. I had to too young label branded on me also.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Doctor say I need a backiotomy.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I find hydrocodone works best

9 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 2

Right?!

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Oxycodone is better. :)

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I learned it from House that Vicodin reigns supreme in terms of pain relief.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

yYeah... but... it's not without its side effects, and trust me, I would know. Nausea, dizziness, decreased bladder sensivity,

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

difficulty urinating, and that's just MY reaction to it. There's an entire laundry list of side effects, and more still with long term use

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

GO TO A DOCTOR GOD DAMN IT

9 years ago | Likes 18 Dislikes 2

I did! They just gave me pills, charged me a large amount of $$ and gave me the link to this post!!

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Doctors don't know about this, you need a physio

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Everything is a fucking "hack" these days. It's bullshit!

9 years ago | Likes 32 Dislikes 3

Life hack, breathe to extend your life span as it prevents asphyxiation

9 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

But everyone who's ever done that has died

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

True, oxygen dependency can be deadly and withdrawal symptoms are even worse than dihydrogen monoxide withdrawal

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Not true. A statistically significant number of people who have ever lived are still alive.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Unless you're in a garage with the car running.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Are you crazy! The oxygen in the air is going to oxidize your lungs, try to breathe as little as possible to extend your life instead!

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

What about upper back pain?

9 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 1

Tough shit.

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

I have upper back pain. Physical therapy/ the exercises I learned there help me manage.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Similar postural issues plus probably shoulder issues

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

What about back upper pain?

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

What about upper lower pain?

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

that last one, is also good for when putting it in your gf's butt

9 years ago | Likes 844 Dislikes 37

Or bf's

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

And same again if they are on their back and legs are on your shoulders = hits the g-spot

Why are you putting a towel in your gf's butt? Oh wait, I gotcha

9 years ago | Likes 18 Dislikes 1

How else do you clean it?

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

It works so good I'm now doing it in my wife's butt.

Or if you have your bed on the floor, have her legs on the bed and crossed, while her butt is just off the bed. My favorite position 5/7

What what

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

In the butt

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I said what what

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Or when your girlfriend puts it in your butt ;)

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Would it work for the wife too?

9 years ago | Likes 21 Dislikes 2

We are sorry to report that the wife model does not come with this feature. Unfortunately, the ring voids this action and the warranty.

9 years ago | Likes 31 Dislikes 2

Or if you give her a superhappyfuntime with your mouth/tongue ;)

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Yes. This. I love putting a pillow under my pelvis during anal. Very nice.

9 years ago | Likes 19 Dislikes 6

Does it help make it more comfortable? I'm trying to get into it with my partner and any tips are appreciated!!

It betters the angle.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Don't let the kids use that pillow

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

To hack back pains you need a tomahawk

9 years ago | Likes 56 Dislikes 0

I mean...hacking the site of the pain with a tomahawk WOULD probably get rid of the pain AND keep it from coming back.

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

A bone tomahawk. Know what i mean??!!??

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 5

That's more of a crotch hack.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

A word of advice from experience: Identify the cause of your back pain before trying any of these otherwise you may cause more harm.

9 years ago | Likes 570 Dislikes 5

Also, I learned if you have a burning pain in your back, don't use heating pads or icy hot. It only makes it worse.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

^ Please take heed, especially if it's anything more than occasional minor aches. Serious back injury fucks your life in every non-fun way.

9 years ago | Likes 93 Dislikes 1

Going on 5 years with mine it's the fatigue that gets me I can handle pain or full aches but it wipes me out

9 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

I know that feeling. As my back got worse, the amount of activity I could do fell, as did my overall fitness. Just zero energy all the time.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Slight scoliosis and an inflammation problem (forget the medical name) ibuprofen and a pillow under the side not hurting is all I've found

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Mine is from arthritis. I start PT soon.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I can completely agree. Suffered back pain for too long and when I went the doctors I was sent to a Physio Therapist and they all helped

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Yes, seriously. And try to get two opinions. I delt with back pain for 18 years before finally having major major surgery

9 years ago | Likes 31 Dislikes 2

I can't stress this enough. I spent 6 months at an Orthopedic clinic for my back pain when in three visits to a spinal neurosurgeon 1/2

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

I received a diagnosis and three options in regards to relieving my back pain. Second opinions are worth their weight in gold. 2/2

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

First Doctor wanted to do a spinal fusion on me. I bailed on that plan and am currently I'm looking for other opinions to fix me up.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Find a neurosurgeon that's familiar with CoFlex. I got one of those in the L5-S1 region with no loss of flexibility.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Spondyloslisthesis and spinal stenosis has made the day-to-day pretty lousy for me. Hooray for pain medication.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

The surgery is really risky too, doesn't have a high success rate. Glad to hear it worked for you.

9 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 0

A family member of mine is in a wheelchair and has no sensation or movement to his left side due to complications. ????

9 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Yep. That's extreme, but I've heard a few stories of people whose pain just got worse.

9 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Yep. He received a huge settlement. Like millions, but that obviously is insignificant, as he's wheelchair bound and super depressed.

9 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

This. I also remember when I tried to rest away a lumbago. Sweet Lord, biggest mistake of my life

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

What did you do? I'm on my third day of a lumbago incident and have been told to do what feels best. It has been lying still on a sofa?

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Walk, walk, walk. Move as much as you can. If you're staying still it will only get worse. It went from intense pain to full lock and unable

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

To move overnight. It took two hours to get from bed to the driveway for the trip to the clinic. The only good thing was the pain meds which

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Great info. I've been there too

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I accidentally overdosed the first night and had the best night of my life.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Thought mine was boobs/poor posture, even started yoga to help. Who knew gallstones can cause back pain? Not me.

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Still trying to figure out my pain. Sore all over, doctors can't find anything wrong and doesn't even seem like trying.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Go to a manual physical therapist. They do more than take a picture. They'll be able to help you!

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Get a second opinion. If you're seeing an orthopedic doctor, hunt down a spinal neurosurgeon. They might be able to help.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Thanks, trying. In on my third doctor currently.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Seriously. I spent two years stretching and working my back to find out I have a tumor in my spinal canal. Learn before you do!

9 years ago | Likes 28 Dislikes 2

Damn, that is serious. What test or procedure did your doctor do to find it?

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

An mri because my back pain never went away.

Surgery is on the 23rd this month. Hopefully post that. Was expecting a blown disk or something. Not that lol

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

A chiropractor is typically a good option, imo.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

As a 22 yo with a double discus hernia .. YES

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Truth Nerve damage is different from a bulging disk is different from a pulled muscle Using the wrong exercise makes it worse Know your body

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Have any life pain tips?

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Was told to sleep with a pillow under my knees and on my back. Woke up stiff af and couldn't move for 10min.

Hey me too! Where do you go to hell?

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

what if you have a weird popping noise and tightness whenever you raise your right leg/ run,,,

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Don't run

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 2

I get this in both legs, but my hip joints aren't too good and chiropractor says the bone-deep popping is tendons. Idk

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

If there is pain involved around the lumbar/hip region as well, it could be your SI Joint (pelvis) Chiropractor can help

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Yeah thats my problem. My doctor and physical therapist were no help at all. 2 years later I'm still in pain daily. 21 years old

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I get this when I lay on my back and extend me leg all the way up to face the ceiling, when i move it back down it feels like it's (1/2)

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

(2/2) out of alignment and it pops loudly where I can FEEL it in my brain, but my girlfriend can't hear it happen. Feels weird but no pain.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

(3/2) I also have a fucked up back/spine from a car wreck that I never got looked at. It feels like a burning awfulness and pops when i walk

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

(4/2) When I lay down at night I can cross my legs and flex my body and it POPS loudly a couple times and hurts, but then the tension's gone

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Sounds like snapping hip syndrome. It's where your iliopsoas tendon (hip flexor that has attachments to the spine and the thigh bone) 1/2

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

You should really get this looked at. Start with your primary doctor. He or she can order any imaging (x-rays, MRIs, etc.) and send you(1/3)

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

potentially worsens to the point where you develop numbness, tingling, or weakness and/or need surgery (3/3).

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

In the right direction (therapy, physical medicine, neurology). It is better to get this assessed now than wait until your condition(2/3)

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Now that you know the secrets of the fire swamp, you can live quite comfortably there for some time.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Very true! Doctor told hubby to do PT for muscle and it made his pain worse bc turns out herniated disc in his L5/S1 and he's only 28 :(

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Doc referred to PT without x-ray or mri? Might have a negligence case there

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

He had had both and he didn't find anything (family doctor) we then went to a specialist after the PT told us to see an orthopedic doc.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Oh ok. Good luck to him!

Down voted first till I checked the username +1

9 years ago | Likes 40 Dislikes 7

Why would you downvote that?

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

Because it was one of the first comments...and it had no context to the post. That's what we do in usersub.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

So you're a downvote fairy?

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

No...I down vote Russian gta, selfies with no relevant context, and some of the girly pics. Upvote dogs, kitties, and oc...

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I had an operation for scoliosis, so that hurt and now I can't DO any of these stretches due to the fact that my spine is fused straight

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

No stretches for you.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

Hey, I'm supposed to get an operation for scoliosis, too. Is there anything about it that you wish someone had told you beforehand?

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

(1/2) Hmm, not particularly I guess, but I was stuck in the hospital doing nothing all week, so that wasn't fun

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

(2/3) and then afterwards it's hard to walk for a number of month, something that I didn't

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

(3/4) expect for some reason is that it definitely hurts a lot and it's hard to get comfortable, but you get used to it and you have

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

(4/5) lots of painkillers like morphine (which is injected automatically which is nice) to keep everything ok,

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

The biggest difference for me was to not be as fat

9 years ago | Likes 1303 Dislikes 7

it has certainly helped me - i noticed that exercise improved muscle tone and posture too

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I was too much underweight, no muscles, and had real pains in the back

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I accept that.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Lol, I always upvote that sassy lassy.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Same here! In fact, everything hurt. Back, knees, feet. I can't believe how much pain I was living with.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

lmao the truest thing I've ever read

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Lose weight and limber up: hack for a lot of physical things. Squats too.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Limber up? Do you mean stretch?

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

When "larger" patients have back pain, docs say to each other it's not a back problem, it's a front problem. Source: orthopedic surgeon here

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

For me it was convincing my parents to take me to a chiropractor after years of back pain growing up. Two curves & a rotated vertebrae.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Yeah I have quite a booty and I can't lay flat because it causes my back to arch too much. That's when I knew I needed a change

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Don't you have the regular muscle pain when you stop working out for a while?

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Never stop

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I gained 75lbs with my pregnancy... I officially know what fat pain feels like. I'm down about 50lbs but those lasting 25 still hurt!

9 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 1

did you give birth to an elephant?

9 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 2

He was 10lbs. And I dropped 35lbs at delivery in water weight. Thanks.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

THAT SUUUUUUUUUUUCKS

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I'm fat and pregnant and holy crap my back hurts so bad

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 2

Hey you! Congrats on number 3!

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I just went thru your comments trying to figure out when we had a convo!

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Thanks! So excited!!!

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Try taking calcium+magnesium at night

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

I've never heard this. I'll look into it, thanks!!

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

Pregnancy has a way of leaving us deficient. It can really help

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

Suffered a herniated disc in my lower back, PT helped. Lost 20 pounds, gained 30 right back. With the last 5-10, my back's gotten worse

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Yeah, I'm working on that one. Slow going, I have two fractured vertebrae so I'm also doing therapy for that.

9 years ago | Likes 204 Dislikes 1

I'm bot fat but sometimes when I take a big shit, I crack my lower back. It feels good though haha

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Don't worry, I got fat again... Losing weight, and also some light exercise really helped stretch me out. I've been off work for 6 weeks 1/2

9 years ago | Likes 47 Dislikes 0

I gotta ask, did these exercises work?

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

My t10-12 broke, losing weight was the best but those stretches and exercises bring it home.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Slow and steady is the way to lasting victory. You'll get there.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

2/2 had my appendix out, so have slowly been growing in size through boredom and lack of activity, can't wait to get back to work next week

9 years ago | Likes 30 Dislikes 0

Hope you're feeling better.

9 years ago | Likes 20 Dislikes 0

Not too bad, just a little sore every so often. I've managed to watch Stranger Things, and 4 seasons of Orange is the New Black though :)

9 years ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 0

May I recommend a weight loss book for you?

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Sure, whatcha got?

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Simple Fat Burn by Cathryn Marshall. I lost 30 pounds, and my mom who gets discouraged easily and "never loses" has lost 25. Easy read 1/2

9 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 1

and only 100 pages. Easy to understand. I started with the coaching from Cathryn. There's diet tweaks not in the book; but, it's a start.

9 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

I'm recovering from knee surgery and just started jogging. I'm having the worst lower back pain of my life. I'll be trying these exercises.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

You should add some glut exercises in addition to these stretches. Gluts tent to shut off after knee or ankle surgery or just sitting (1/2)

Try more stretching afterwards. Running messed my knee up more than it was before
