I quit in May of 2018 but last year was the first full calendar year (January through December) I've gone without a cigarette since I was 15 years old.

It's still hard. I thought it would've gotten easier by now and I thought I wouldn't want them anymore but I still do. I even hate the smell now but still have cravings.

I guess I'm healthier now at least. I started jogging last month and my lungs are still trashed, which is discouraging. But here's to hoping they get better. Cheers!

It’s poison man, you’re not giving up anything! You’ll live longer and look back at this as a blessing! Keep it up!!

Keep it up! It’s been 17 yrs for me. Sometimes I even dream I’ve started smoking again and when I wake up, I’m so relieved.

I haven't had a cigarette in over 5 years. For me the smell is still appealing, and now and then I get an urge to get a pack. 1/

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I used 14mg patches for a week and then cut them in half and used them for at least another week. You can do it.

I quit in February of 2011. Started again in November of 2019. Quitting again now. I still get a buzz off smoking, so I don't think >>

6 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

>> it's much more than just the actual habit, not the nicotine addiction.

6 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I went about a month last year then fell off the wagon, (mental health stuff). Planning on no cigs tomorrow. Any advice?

6 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Vaping can help with the habit side and nicotine also. Help me quit (but I do vape still). Would recommend tobacco flavours to start.

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Yeah I am very thankful that I was able to quit smoking.

6 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I encourage the hop-ons. Good on everyone.

6 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

You do know that people sharing how long they have been cigarette free helps encourage people to quit right? Shows they can kick the habit.

You're a me monster

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 5

What? I am actually extremely uncomfortable getting praise. When I cook dinner I brush off people telling me it was good. But I am about 1/
