A storm in Moscow, Russia today created hurricane-force winds and spawned several mini-tornadoes, causing widespread damage throughout the city and its suburbs. It has been named the deadliest storm in the city in decades, with the preliminary death toll currently at 11.

Another example of damage caused. Again, not my photo, but I left this square approximately 10 minutes before the storm began. Driving in this was terrifying, the car sort of skidded and jumped all over the place...

Several people were killed in the collapse of this bus stop. One teenage girl was killed by a tree, others killed by trees or crushed in their cars. Many are currently in hospital. Cleanup work is likely to take weeks, and repairs longer than that. It is currently almost impossible to drive in the more rural areas - the roads are piled high with fallen trees. My friend's house was partially destroyed by a massive oak. Etcetera.

People often forget that, in this day and age, terrorism isn't the only threat. Nature can be terrifying.

tl/dr: massive storm in the capital of Russia creates tornadoes and kills 11 people.

It's almost like God is trying to tell them something with the would-be impossible catastrophic weather
