An Israeli attack on the Iranian South Pars gas field has set in motion a chain reaction that no one wanted.
The apparent goal of the Israelis was to cut off a major source of income for the Iranian Revolutionary Guard in consultation with Washington.
That now appears to have been a miscalculation.
For Iran struck back hard. Missile attacks hit energy installations throughout the Gulf region, causing heavy damage to the LNG facilities in Ras Laffan, Qatar, which normally account for about a fifth of global gas supplies.
Trump knew of the attack beforehand, and it was also coordinated with the US, which Trump now denies. In an initial angry reaction to the Iranian retaliation, the American president threatened to ‘massively blow up’ the entire Iranian South Pars gas field if Iran continued its attacks on Qatar. But at the same time, he pledged that Israel would stop attacking, ‘if Iran does too’.
Summarized: Trump messed his already messy mess massively up.

Damn it's like infrastructure is fragile and this all was a terrrrrrrible idea. If only we had prior experience with wars of choice in the middle east from which we could have learned valuable lessons...

Ooh! A cease fire promise from Israel! We know how that one goes!

Trump calculates with his dreams and the feeling in his bones but there are fears his rotting skin and swollen ankles are weighing in too.

Basically the only military advisors he pays any attention to are General Mills, and Captain Crunch.

Man, it would be such a shame if Mar-alago was bombed because it’s the only place that’s all connected to Trump

I’d rather the grounds get dug up and the entire complex meticulously deconstructed first. Preferably unannounced.
