It's been 2 years and I've only met 3 people who feel the same

I'm no hipster son of a gun who decides that I'm not gonna like this just because everyone else liked it. I gave it a shot, in fact, I gave it 3 shots. All 3 runs of this game I had made it clear that, at least from my perspective, everyone was overreacting about it being the best game since Doom.

The only fun I had while playing the game and engaging with it's systems were both on the Genocide route. Sans was a genuinely good final boss fight to throw the game away after finishing, and Undyne's fight was actually challenging and fun as well. It's a shame that none of the rest of the game posed any challenge, or any real mental thought processes. It was all a real breeze.

If you feel like hearing a more complete criticism, just PM me, I don't get mad that people enjoy something I didn't, I just don't see the appeal of Undertale over other games.

Peace and love,
Kaon

Honestly I'm usually ok with that 16bit graphics look but something about the art style and colors turned me off of it immediately.

All the hype about it just made it spectacularly overstated game. Everything the fans touted about it was unremarkable at best. My opinion.

It was maybe a 5/10. It's far from the worst, it's semi-competent, but it fails at what it sets out to do.

You're not the only one that feels that way. it was kinda meh to me, and I got too bored to finish it.

I wasted 20 hours of my life on that game, nothing but regrets.

it all depends on different tastes, personally I love the metroid prime trilogy and custom robo, good stuff

Seems like you were looking for a purely technical challenge rather than enjoying the ideas behind the game itself.

The big message I got from the game is "killing is bad", and that's not exactly a moral that I needed to be taught.

I really didn't like it either. I get why others did, but I had a lot of issues with it.

I feel like to really enjoy it, I had to have been keeping up with the AAA industry. It eschews a lot of industry standards, hence (1)

The high review scores. I've seen some reviewers complain about the same systems in every game. Undertale might have been a breathoffreshair
