Not actually my 12th favorite, but this one is cooler.
Wikipedia calls them spermbots.

Yes good idea, lets use the weak sperm to further our species

What if some of the sperm that don't make it have a better DNA package but just didn't get the best transport?

5 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

Then the DNA package isn't better

5 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

That’s not inherently true. DNA packaging efficiency in sperm is not inherently linked to flagellation of thr sperm body.

Same dna in all sperm

It’s not all the same. If it were your brothers and sisters would look exactly like you. There are variations in ever sperm/egg

Then what's the issue?

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

That if none of the sperm can swim on their own, prolly not a good idea to help that dna become a human

So, we should eliminate ivf for couples who have trouble conceiving?

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Not even remotely true, fraternal twins, or even siblings, wouldn't be different if that were the case.

Thats because mommy also adds dna, a sperm is a data package of dads dna.

Half of both technically, and even just assuming for each half being a full X or Y chromosome that's four variation of child. From larger1/2

That's not really any different than the natural method. This would just help previously "infertile" men to some degree.

Im an adherent of the theory of natural "quality control", infertility could be linked to genetic problems, that shouldnt be spread

Could also be linked to many things, damage later in life, poor nutrition, etc. Even if there is a genetic cause it might not get passed.

All valid reasons, I just think adoption would be a better idea than ivf

Maybe? Realistically its up to the parents, this would mostly be used with people making conscious decisions about reproduction.
