Chuchka the lucky sparrow.

So this little guy was stuck on the freshly painted stairs outside our building. My big hearted husband found him on the way home and literally peeled him from the stairs with feathers and all. He had to leave immediately for a business trip so he called me to work and told me that I have a little birdy in a bathroom I need to take care of. So I came home to find Chuchka (I named him immediately) on the floor of my bathroom with some water and food my husband left for him. The shape he was in was not promising.... I spent an hour washing him gently and peeling paint from his little claws. There was no separation between his fingers on his claws. We have a Mexican Rottweiler so I needed to be very careful not to let them meet each other.

I came back to him later that night and he started moving around the washroom.

There is a little paint left on his footsies and I took care of it too. I let him stay for the night and let him fly back to his family in the morning.
