No but for real shaving dogs (that aren't like poodles or some shit) is bad. It causes them to not be able to regulate their body temp (1)

First is a Malamute, second is a Husky. Either case don't shave them because they will get depressed and lose heat regulation.

I have one in Texas, she's perfectly happy in the summer. I just brush her. She goes out to nap in the sun.

It's because it's a Husky. Some breeds you aren't supposed to shave. It keeps them warm in the winter and cooler in the summer. Shaving bad!
