Chocolate christmas brandy balls

What they lack in presentation they make up for in taste

These are a few of my favorite things: chocolate, booze, nuts, enough sugar to make your vision go blur.

Toss 1.25 cups of nuts (I use pecans) in a splash of booze (brandy, rum, bourbon whatever dealers choice) and toast 350 for 8 minutes.

Combine nuts, 1.5 cups vanilla wafers, 1/3 cup powdered chocolate, 1/3 cup powdered sugar, dash salt in food processor until finely ground.

In a big bowl combine 6 tablespoons maple syrup, 1/3 cup booze, splash of vanilla. Then mix in your nut mixture.

Portion into balls and chill in fridge for 20 minutes.

Melt your chocolate in 30 second bursts in the microwave mixing between each session till smooth.

Use a fork and dip those balls till smooth and sexy.

You can also forgo chocolate and just dip in powdered sugar.

Store in airtight container in fridge for up to one week.
