Please Help Me: I made a thing!

I've been really down the past couple of months, and haven't had steady work in a while. BUT THEN, I found out one of my designs from last year was nominated for an award! :D :D :D

I don't know if we actually win anything physical, but it means so much to me that people saw what I did and actually liked it.

It is a puzzle box. I designed the six panels, the knobs on the side that are part of the puzzle, and the challenge coin that comes with it.

I was nominated in the first category, "Most Surprising Design". The one picture doesn't really do the box justice, so I am showing off the design process a bit more here on Imgur.

The client wanted the box to have lore. It's inspired by adventure, wild west, and motorcycles. Think Westworld meets Pirates on bikes? I spent countless hours on the details, trying to communicate a real "story".

Final design was laser-etched onto wood.
