Most prized possession.

It was my grandmothers engagement ring and has a cute backstory.
My grandfather came into some wealth, and when he proposed, my grandmother could pick out an engagement ring at the jeweler. So my grandmother went and returned home with a small, nothing-too-fancy ring. She didn’t want to pick out something too expensive! My grandfather was a tad sulky and demanded she went back and got a bigger ring. My grandfather always worked very hard for his money and never spent it unwisely. Family was most important to him, and he wanted my grandmother to be pampered and show off a bit. Unfortunately after some years the business went bad and they had to live with not as much money anymore until they both passed away. This ring reminds me of him, I wish I knew him better ‘til he passed. He was the sweetest and kindest man, who would do anything for his family.
