I just worry about the dog's health. Esp oral.

4 days ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

We all know how this goes. Next thing you know the goldies will start making plastic to get more treats.

4 days ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Damn clean plastic for the dog grabbing it around the neighbourhood

4 days ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 4

Turtles didn't even need any training to pick up plastic straws

Is that a golden? Well it’s not a lab. Okay a golden. I just have a Cockapoodle named shit bird. She’s better than everyone or anything. I’ll kill you all for bear dog. Not you @op. Your cool.

Get the 1s and the 2s. Our municipality doesn't take the higher numbers.

4 days ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

So hold on... we train dogs to gather different kinds of trash (plastic, metal etc.) and save the environment, AND have happy dogs running around everywhere? Win win!

Ive nearly hit multiple dogs while driving because they had seemingly no idea the road wasnt safe. while a nice idea it'd be one that ends up with lots of dead dogs :(

3 days ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It wad meant as a joke, but we could possibly teach them to cross the road safely :-)

3 days ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

The only loss is the litterers don't get punished

4 days ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 0

When you say "litterers", do you mean the mom and dad dogs? Because they go around making litters.... I'm certain there's a joke here somewhere...

4 days ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Found the american? It's like there's no point to anything and nothing can ever be worthwhile unless it involves someone being punished. All while living beneath a fascist pedophile dictator that's never been punished for anything.

4 days ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 2

I think it is more, when the one causing the problem is not stopped/punished they keep doing the problem thing. Thinking of stopping the problem at it's source

4 days ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

HAH. That's fking rich. You ever read West israeli history?

3 days ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 2

We train the dogs to bite people they see littering?

4 days ago | Likes 18 Dislikes 0

Someone tosses a banana peel under a tree...

4 days ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I'm making a note here: HUGE SUCCESS.

4 days ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

Its hard to overstate my satisfaction

4 days ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

So they let their dog roam the neighborhood not on a leash? Bad owners

4 days ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 3

Agreed.

4 days ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It is not a pitbull or a vicious small dog. Golden retrievers are some of the gentlest souls to walk the earth and protective of young people. Looks like a well-raised animal too. If they bit someone, I would probably have to ask what shady behaviour that person was upto

4 days ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 9

Due to overbreeding and bad breeding due to the popularity of Air Bud and Homeward bad, some Golden strains do have aggression.

Also it's not just about bites you moron. A dog intensely focus on searching isn't going to notice a car and get hit.

*Homeward Bound

4 days ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Hmmph… and here I thought there was an all golden retriever version of breaking bad out there somehow missed

4 days ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Absolutely the fuck not. NO dog should be roaming off-leash, first off. You have no idea what fears or allergies one person might have, or when someone will throw poison or hit your dog with a car on purpose, etc.

Second, I worked with dogs my whole life, and THE most aggressive dogs hands-down were Golden Retrievers. "He's a golden, he won't bite!" were the exact words one owner said before the dog drew blood, ripping his hand open. A POLICE and protection sports dog club told me the most

aggressive dog they'd ever had through was a golden retriever being shipped through their club, and NOBODY could get near him.

They were the most popular breed worldwide, meaning people got their hands on any specimens they could find to mass-breed them for profit, with 0 attention to their actual temperament or their training. There are some *really* aggressive ones, and then idiot owners who go "he's a golden! It's okay, he won't bite."

As a sidenote I've handled multiple pit bulls even directly from fighting rings. They were *all* friendly, just hyper, and not one ever even growled at me.

The worst behavior I saw from any pit was an unneutered one that wanted to hump everyone, which was bad, but wasn't aggressive in the slightest.

Yeah, Air Bud and Homeward Bound boosted an already popular breed, and resulted in a lot of mentally ill goldies with an aggressive streak and too many people bamboozled by their friendly reputation to actually assess.
