Bookstores are about the only place I don't say this at.

Literally everywhere I go.

That’s what growing up is all about. Fuck this place. I want to go home.

I am invited to one social gathering a year, and I am okay with that.

Maybe you were at the wrong places all along. That background bar whatever looks awful.

The problem is the place focuses on drink when it should focus on food.

I hate going out, but i make myself go out occasionally only to feel the satisfaction of returning home.

Well I got news for you bub, because I didn't much like the traffic or finding parking either, so the journey can bugger off too

3 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 1

Why are we like this. I mean I totally get it, but still.

3 years ago | Likes 21 Dislikes 0

Because we *want* to be social people who go out and have fun, but we also have hang-ups and anxiety.

3 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

the fantasy of socialization is better then the reality.

3 years ago | Likes 22 Dislikes 0

No, the anxiety associated with first entering a place can be very hard to overcome, and feeling comfortable takes time, so reply is to bail

3 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

Typically the social anxiety. Many people, loud noises, bright colors. Even a place you’ve been before has new people, and alter-attitudes.

I will have to agree that there is a bit of a romanticization of these things in the mind as well. We imagine it better than it be, always.
