Okay, the muzzle brake is still on order, but I tightened the castle (also staked) and barrel nuts, and put on all the fixin's, so it's now capable of safely punching holes in paper at >50 yards.
It's a budget build for my first time:
Anderson Lower/LPK/"sport" Upper/Barrel/gas system
Magpul mag, MBUS sights
Midway stock kit
Tacfire free-floating Handguard
Zero Fail BCG and no-name charging handle.
Coming soon: DPMS Miculek muzzle brake
I learned a lot, and I bought a lot of tools, and both are good, because I bought more Lowers already.

Lowers are actually way cheaper than I thought they'd be! I completely custom built my own AR pistol for <$1,000. I'm officially a fanatic.

What is it? .223?

May I strongly suggest an A2 flash hider before getting a brake if you haven't ordered it yet?
sunfried
Already ordered it. Why your preference?
Timmytwopups
Not really a preference. Just always like to shoot the fuck out of a new build with a baseline muzzle device and then choose a comp.

I also recommend this as well. https://algdefense.com/sidewinder-5-56-nitride.html

How much did the whole thing run you, tools included?
sunfried
Approximately $650 for the rifle, another $80ish in tools. Planning on spending another $450 on an Aimpoint Pro sight if this shoots.

I'm looking to build one soon right around that price range. It looks great
sunfried
Probably could've gone a bit cheaper by going classic A2 style with handle, high-profile gas block/site, and handguard, maybe $100 less.
