As far as I can see (from Australian dashcam channels on YT), they are mostly driven by bogans (Australian rednecks), who love drifting them on corners and driving at three times the speed limit on suburban streets. There are more practical utes, based on Toyota Land Cruisers, but they are also driven poorly by impatient tradies (tradesmen).
