Watched for the first time ever some time in that last couple months and honestly I just want more of death opening up to people when they are dying like he did with the sickly Jamaican lady

This is one of fave films. I skip several scenes though. Hopkins is great in every scene he appears in. I skip the sex scene and some of the other Brad Pitt scenes. But what I don’t skip is the Brad Pitt scenes in the hospital. He and the actress that plays the Jamaican woman are so fucking good that I have no words to describe them. I’m no poet. I weep every time. Same as do at the end of this movie. One of my faves.

I enjoyed his performance in Westworld. And the one with the marble raceways….that was awesome.

I thought he played death well, awkward, intrigued, experiencing love for the first time. I wouldn't imagine death being particularly normal given all he's seen

Fair enough. That’s why I didn’t mention him. Most of the acting aside from him was good though. Pitt was ok in a few scenes.

Pitt gets a lot of shit for being too pretty, but he's a good actor. Compare Kalifornia to Burn After Reading to see his range.
