It looks like you have a rash.. You know what's good for rashes!? Coconut oil... Worth a try
Also, the first two pictures were taken the afternoon after I put the oil on my face and woke up with nasty blister-like things.
sdtitan89
This folks is why you test small amounts of products and don't go about slathering your face with it on the first try.
The last picture is today, 3 days of healing. Went to the hospital after taking the first two pictures.

You aren't supposed to rub the whole coconut against your face.

See, this is why they encourage you to do an allergy test on a SMALL patch of skin before slathering something all over yourself.

You're not supposed to light it.
WhoCaresAboutThePoints
I mean, I know you can cook with it, but you're not supposed to heat it up before you put it on your face.
Haha, very funny.

Seek medical help asap.
Don't worry, already did. The last picture is a few days after healing.

You have to love individuals that go to Imgur for advice. +1
Actually, this was after going to the hospital and getting treated. I posted this to link it to something I posted on a skincare form.
Trying to prevent this from happening to others. Outlined my experience, and gave advice to spot test a new product.
its cool, my significant other has done the same thing. She's learned to look for specific ingredients to avoid to interactions like that.

MBBS here, calling bullshit. That's not an allergic reaction, that is a healing scab. Looks like you either had severe acne or a scrape.
The first few pictures were also the afternoon after the night I put it on. My skin wasn't like that before. Just a little dry w/ acne scars
I'm also in school for a pre-med degree (:
Then I'd suggest you keep studying because your understanding of even simple conditions is severely lacking.
YOU should know medicine is not concrete, and people react differently to different things.
Medicine is concrete, but doctors can be wrong. I'm guessing whoever diagnosed you (Which may have been yourself) is mistaken.
It's funny that you comment on someone's post in which you have only seen pictures of a condition arguing that they are wrong.
The pictures you have linked are irrelevant to the diagnosis you have described.
Alright. Then, I don't know what the fuck happened? Is that better for you. These abrasions happened only where I put the oil.
Don't have to take my word for it, but that's what happened. Went to the hospital, said it looked like it turned into a form of cellulitis.
Cellulitis isn't caused by allergies, it can, however, result from severe acne or a scrape. I didn't say I'm an MBBS because it sounds cool
Cellulitis is just inflammation of the cells. Did not have severe acne at the time, just had some dry spots and a bit of acne scarring.
Cellulitis is not inflammation of cells, it's an opportunistic infection of a wound or cut. It can cause inflammation but as a symptom.
Cellulitis literally means inflammation of the cells, dude. You can argue about that all you want.
The coconut oil caused a chemical burn like allergic reaction which of course caused the skin cells to become inflamed.
Allergies do not result in chemical burns, inflammation does not result in cellulitis, rather the other way around.
Allergic contact dermatitis? Oh, there's that itis again.
But hey, you must be right! You're an MBBS! Lol, Humble yourself.
You must understand and interpret language as well as you understand the medical field. Basing your complete opinion off of a picture.
