Test project: cuffs

Taking a test project swing at classic restraint cuffs as one would see in an old timey movie rendition of a mental institution. Oddly a pretty straight forward project once the dimensions were more or less laid out on paper, and pretty cheap too.

Materials used:
soft suede pigskin liner (folded in half)
6/7oz vegtan main body
6/7oz vegtan dyed green for the strap
misc hardware of rivets, d-rings, all purpose strap buckle with locking tongue

If I were to do this again I would change a number of things.

First, would be bump the main body to something more weighty like 9/10oz.

Second, would be to use a different liner. The pigskin is nice, but grippy and kind of thing. Maybe a 3/4oz with a smoother top would do better.

Third, the buckle was nice, but it feels like it sticks out too much.

Lastly - probably another d-ring each between the two stand alone rivets. Gotta keep those movie villains contained.
