'Drowning Fish' by Rudy Francisco

I highly recommend that you watch the actual reading of the poem. Rudy's performance is well worth it.

Yeah Depression is bad. We all know that by now. But why did the fish drown? Why was there no oxygen left in the water?

As I kick off my second week of TMS treatment, due to none of the antidepressant families of drugs working at all, this art hits home.

I thought at first that this was the setup for a standup joke, then I thought it was a scientific lecture about water quality. Swerved x2.

It's bittersweet seeing so many ppl talk about depression on imgur. I don't want anyone to feel like this. But at least I'm not alone??

No, you're not. I love you.

This is exactly why I got "I'm not dead." tattooed on me.

4 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 1

Ohhh thank you for the tattoo idea.

4 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

I want to get a little fire tattooed . To remind myself that it's still burning and to fight to keep it from going out

4 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

That's going to be awkward eventually. But not now.

I'm tempted to hire someone to go to my funeral and make that comment as if they're my arch nemesis.

So eloquently put. The cricket and run-on sentence metaphors. Id love to see more varying pace. But, he projects his emotions so well.

What is a run-on sentence?

A sentence that goes on for too long, a sentence that could've been made into two sentences, the type that don't seem to end, like this one.

#4 - "Don't they have a fin and a tale?" "I'm a fucking fish. I'm the basis for ALL tales, at least in measurement."

4 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

If I understand the line right it's basically the "Why are you depressed, you have a family and a good job?"

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

It's tail, not tale. It's not a comprehension thing.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

It is both tale in YOUR quote and his.So the*tale*we tell about ourselves about /what makes us who we are, like a fish with a fin & tale/tail

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

doesn't fit makes sense to in either context of a "normal" person being depressed or a fish that has a fin and tail drowning.
