Lost my little buddy tonight

This is Scamp, my 2yo Maine Coon. We lost him tonight to antifreeze poisoning.

He was an amazing cat, playful, affectionate, and a great hunter.

Always ready for a snooze or a snuggle.

My father and I rescued him in October of 2015. His mother and siblings were strays living in an old building next to a teardown project we were working on. We heard him screaching, and found him tangled in a fishtray of old ropes. Once we cut him free, we knew we had to take him.

He was the best cat I've ever had, he prowled the neighborhood, visiting every house, looking for friends.

His death was completely preventable, most people don't know it, but there is non-toxic antifreeze on the market, sold pretty much anywhere. It's a few bucks more, but it's worth it to same the live of a beloved pet, or a child.
