Our friendship all started with a Coheed and Cambria poster and Myspace. Ages ago, when you could just write to people who you admire, and they would write back!
With nights out in the city spent roaming the streets. Talking about the process of art, pop culture and everything in between. Matt and I even traveled out to LA for his art show the weekend of Bamboozle Left on a whim! ?
Brian Ewing, the incredibly talented, intelligent and impossibly cool guy is also one of the most down to earth and easy to talk to people I know. We bonded over our social anxiety, and his encouragement has lead me down professional paths that I'd never thought were possible.
I found out yesterday he's really sick and he's fighting for his life.
His fiance Andria (who also coached me in my current profession and I owe an immense debt of gratitude) posted on Instagram about his condition.

We were friends pre beard :) Honestly, it's messed up because it was in that weird time where photos get lost between phones and nothing was backed up in the cloud.
He used to come to Comic Con pretty frequently.
