Lost Society (Thrash)
This finnish band is fucking awesome. IMHO the best modern thrash band out there, they released their first album, Fast Loud Death, in 2013. This album rock. Their newest album, Braindead, isn't really a pure thrash album. It includes elements of melo-death and clean vocals, and has slow/mid-tempo songs.
Favorite album: Fast Loud Death
Favorite song: Kill (those who oppose me)
Ne Obliviscaris (Progressive Symphonic Melodic Black/Death)
This australian prog metal band is something else. They display great technical proficiency whilst still playing tasteful well composed music. They truly master dynamics, and effortlessly shift between mellow violin or piano pieces, to heavy death metal or grim black metal. They've only released two records, but both are thought provoking displays of musicality.
Favorite album: Citadel
Favorite song: Painters of the tempest part 1-3
Inglorious(Hard Rock)
Pure old-school hard rock. Nothing describes these british rockers better. Having released only one album(with a second to come soon) they could potentially be heading somewhere big. They aren't creating a new genre or anything, but they've done something awesome with good old-fashioned rock. But make no mistake, they aren't some 4 chord band, that have released the same song 12 times. Each of their songs are memorable, and distinctly themselves.
Favorite album: Inglorious
Favorite song: Until I Die

Thanks for sharing. Inglorious' lead singer reminds me of Chris Cornell in the Audioslave days.
WhatFuckingNameIsntTaken
Comparing to Cornell at any point in his career is a high recommendation
