I’m not the smartest person in the world but this seems to be legit to me. These aren’t normal distribution patterns.
The thing is, the only way to understand if this is true or not I need to talk about it. So what does everyone think? Is it real or just cope?
Edit:These graphs are showing that as more people voted the rate of which people voted for Trump increased, which is not how normal elections work.

"Everyone" is not an expert. Truth is not found by popular vote. Let the experts review and tell you what the truth they found is.

I agree, and I’m curious about how the lawsuit they filed will turn out. In the meantime it’s important to not just jump to conclusions and hear the perspectives of others.
I think one of the shortcomings of MAGA is that they just get an idea in their head and refuse to change their minds. I’m not immune to misinformation either, so it’s good to ask others rather than staying trapped in my own head. The Imgur group is proficient at pointing out BS.
JamesInTasmania
Can't someone do a hand count of the ballots?
Eddyrock
That’s what the group is trying to get done. If I understand correctly.
JamesInTasmania
It'll prove it one way or the other!
Eddyrock
Ya, I’m just hoping I’m not falling for cope.
DocFunkenstein
Trump. admitted. to. it. Multiple fucking times.

Eddyrock
Yes he did. So what do we do?
DocFunkenstein
Maybe start by not framing it like it's some nebulous question as to whether he did or not?
Eddyrock
Honestly, I’m trying to be objective. I’ve watched so many friends disappear down the MAGA rabbit hole and never return. I posted this because I knew the community here would add a lot of context.

I appreciate that. We know what has been said, but Trump's words are less reliable than a Mad Lib fed random draws from a hat so they'll never stand up in court. I'm far more interested in what we can show as statistically improbable because it gives us an idea of what could be used to address this and allow us to question why not.

Elon isn't smart enough to hack anything without breaking it.
Eddyrock
He is rich enough to pay someone to do it though?

Elsoyyo
Sure and now it sounds like making the data fit the assumptions.
Eddyrock
That’s the point of asking. A normal distribution should be a bell curve a sphere or flat. There’s graphs don’t do this. It shows that as the number of people who voted the rate at which they voted for Trump increased, which doesn’t make sense.
Elsoyyo
Musk is a bad actor with a twisted perspective of reality. But consider Occam's Razor, with other explanations being more probable than the near-perfect crime by these numbskulls.
JStengah
Not to mention the number of Democrat election officials who would need to be in on it. Also the fact that his subsequent attempt to influence the election in Wisconsin failed. If the dude had a secret way to hack election results, why didn't he use it?

or a front to sow doubt in the system.

They are claiming that it wasn’t the voters or the voting machines, rather it was the tabulation system that was compromised. They claim there are only 3 systems used in the US and are necessarily connected to the internet.
Also, you’re surprised that the “strongly worded letter” party possibly stood there with their hands in their pockets?
JStengah
That claim is bullshit because machines are not connected to the internet during tabulation. There are also numerous processes and checks done to ensure the tallies havent been altered. And again, it would require the active participation of numerous democratic election officials and observers. The group you're citing is making minor alterations to conspiracy theories that have already been debunked, using people's ignorance about how statistics work to convince them there's something anomalous.
JStengah
A huge clue is that none of the people whose job is to look at stuff like this has echoed any bit of the conspiracy claims. There are actual, credible, and trusted organizations that monitor elections for interference like what is being claimed, and none of them have taken up this case. Instead, you've got people like that Spoonamore guy who has been pushing election machine tampering conspiracies for 20 years.

All good points. Thanks for chatting with me
