Two days left with our baby girl
This is Bella. This pic is from last year when she turned 10. We don't have very many photos of her because for some reason, she's afraid of cameras. So this is one of the few pics where she's not walking away from us.
So she's 11 now which is old for a Berner, their average lifespan is 6-8 years. But she's really old and has very bad arthritis. She can barely walk and I've been carrying her up and down the stairs for a couple months. She's also lost a lot of weight.
So we've made the heart-breaking decision to let her go. But I refuse to take her to spend her last moments at the one place she hated more than anything. We've found a vet who will come to our house but we have to make an appointment so now we know exactly how much time we have left with her and it's killing me.
I want to spoil her and make these last few days special but I don't know what to do. I can't take her to the park. I got her some yummy snacks she likes. I guess I can just lay with her as much as possible until Friday morning.
Well, thanks for reading. I just wanted to share our big baby girl Bella Bella Bing Bong with you while she's still with us. I'm going to miss her so.

Hardest thing in the world OP but you're doing the right thing for her. It's an act of true love letting go x

Treats and cuddles are good. Go for a drive if she likes riding. Tell her she's a good girl and you'll miss her until you see her again.
