A whole half inch of snow. Shut down everything, were all going to die.

As a Wisconsinite, I can't comprehend a city-wide shut down over a half-inch of snow. We could get a foot, and the freeway would be (1)
packed with people driving to work.(2)

Y'all have salt? Y'all have snow plows? Yeah? We don't lol
Difference is we dont have salt trucks or drivers who know how to drive on icy roads. In all honesty tje roadways do become disastrous.

I grew up in California but all my extended family lives in Idaho. It snows all winter every winter in Idaho so people know how to drive 1
In it, it only ever snowed one day out of the year in California so nobody had any idea how to handle their cars on snowy roads 2
So in Idaho the roads had to be literally impassable before they'd close them, but in California an inch of snow caused constant accidents
