Look man, they might not have used the optimal language, but nearly everyone gets the wisdom: it is a crappy thing to share/repost/distribute artistic content when the economic model that art is made under financially rewards the POSTING of it rather than its creation. We can argue over the mechanics of that, but it being a shitty thing to do is beyond debate. Only the willfully ignorant or trolls would fail to understand that.

What you fail to understand is that random people sharing it occasionally in random places like Imgur works as spreading knowledge that the comic exists in the first place. This is not an aggregator wholesale stealing it in order to generate ad revenue. If you had your way, I wouldn't even know Oglaf exists, because I have only ever seen it occasionally on Imgur. While I didn't end up deciding to read it, there would be plenty of people who did.
