Why Sanders NEVER had the chance.

Why Sanders NEVER had the chance.

So right now people are awaiting the results that will go far in seemingly determining if it's going to be Hillary or Sanders. Well that's not quite true. Hillary was the likely winner since the very beginning, due to a thing called Super Delegates.

What are Super Delegates? They are a bunch of unpledged delegates who cast votes at the Democratic National Convention. They don't vote for a group of people. They vote for themselves, and they account for about 15% of all delegates. And they overwhelmingly support Hillary. See here for more details:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Democratic_Party_superdelegates,_2016

In other words, this whole appearance of a seemingly neck-and-neck battle between Hillary and Sanders being chosen by the voting public is basically a lie. With the Super Delegate lead Hillary has, Sanders could be overall the winner of the Democrat voting public, and Hillary would still probably get the nomination.

Note: The Republican Party also has Super Delegates, but they account for a much lower % of the delegates.

Obama won against Hillary because early on he got the super delegates on his side. This time around she's used it to her advantage.

the dnc has already picked hillary and are doing everything in their power to install her, which is fucking disgusting

She would have won any way

The Bernie brigade should have been worried about super delegates from day 1. It's a bad system.

DNC gets to make their own rules, and Sanders is no stranger to them. Stop making this into some stupid conspiracy.

Except that super delegates are not bound. They can change if the Bern tide is too overwhelming

politics is a sham. Ghosts poop in empty souls.

Can you provide a single historical source where super-delegates have overridden the popular vote? This is a victim complex by Sanders

Depends on the state. Several of them are legally required to back the popular majority vote. Not enough of them, but it's a start.

What "appearance of neck-and-neck battle?" Hilary always had WAY more delegates (and way more than 15%)

Sister suffragettes

The entire voting system, beginning to end, is grossly broken.

Except the superdelegates aren't locked in until the convention. If bernie would have won the primaries, they would support him.

Your not alone. I truly wish there was a redraw button or something. Like put your hand down and draw 4 new cards.

Yes! The political system we now need is the impliment of a draw 4 uno card.

The democratic party did this SPECIFICALLY to keep their party from being hijacked by the likes of Bernie Sanders. Deal with it.

2) Yes, I realize he can still run as an independent, but independents have no chance in the general election.

If Sanders wins the popular vote, he should be the nominee. Otherwise, those in power are controlling who we can vote for.

that's the way the Democratic party works. like they said - deal with it
