I made a thing

As customary

first the result

The design, made out of 2x4's, cut down to 1.5x3", to get rid of the rounded sides from the 2x4.

Cutting off the sides, in the back the planner used to straighten the wood. 2x4's are NOT straight.

All the angles!

Biscuit slots cut

and glue up!

Adding the Danish oil. After lots of sanding and three coats of oil, the wood is SOOO smooth.

And once again, the final result

Lazy cat Tax. The cat is lazy, not the tax.

+1 for the table, WebMD says you're going to crash on it and die

Cool design, have you tested the weight limit?

I have not, but I (80kg) can sit on the wooden frame and it just creaks a little bit. so more than enough for a coffeetable.

Thank you. I am quite pleased with the result. Especially considering the first completely different (and completely failed) first attempt.
