Laid off in February, been job hunting ever since. I have my 3rd round of 3 rounds of interviews at a company on Tuesday and I really want and need this to happen. I feel good about it, but I’ve been crushed at this stage twice before, so I can’t let myself get too confident.

the last question i ask at the end of my final interview: "I've told you quite a bit about me and my past skills that I think bring value to this role. Is there anything that makes you think I'm not the ideal person for this job?" I liked it for the feedback, the chance to address any doubts that might have and to not be an emotional wreck wondering if they were going to call me back or not. the stress relief is profound

I love this, also sort of encourages them to come to the conclusion that I am ideal for it, unless they think I’m not, in which case I probably won’t get the job anyway, but at least I would know why. Thanks!!

Ask them for multiple things. What are three of my characteristics you think would make me successful? Then ask follow up questions on each one. How do you think my ____ would help? Then you write a thank you email and remember to include those points

Crossing my fingers for you! I've been looking since I got laid off in April, it's rough out there.

Thanks! It doesn’t help much that the job I’m aiming for is pretty niche (internet show producer)

I got the job!

I hit enter by accident, I was trying to say, that's awesome! What show will be you be producing? I watch a ton of youtube, I love all kinds of internet shows.

I don’t want to say who it is, but it is in the finance sector, so most will probably find it a bit dry

Fair play and good luck!
