See Old Street Views on Google Maps

I’ve seen a few posts and comments about people having photos of loved ones on Google Maps Street View as some of their last photos taken of those people. They tend to mention that they’ve either been updated (pics are gone now) or fear that it will happen eventually.

Well, on the desktop version, you can browse through all the photos taken of an address. Just find this drop down arrow at the top left of the screen.

You can use this slider to select which photo you want to see. Changing it allows you then go up and down the entire street with this older version of the Street View.

You can see in this example, there are photos from 2012 and 2008.

It’s a fun way to see how things have changed over the years. But also a good way to see that those photos you may cherish do live on, even if they aren’t the default picture on Google Maps these days.
