Just When It All Seems Fine
Just had the interview of a lifetime for a junior network admin position that was tailor made for me, thought there was no way I didn't have it in the bag... well apparently I wasn't the choice they went for. Now no job, no good prospects, just another mountain of applications ahead of me and no end in sight. I've been at this for a month after my last job laid me off for lack of work and I'm living off of a meager savings, my hopes and dreams. Who would've thought finding a job in Chicago was hard for a Summa Cum Laude graduate with some work experience? I want to give my services in exchange for currency, sure, but I'm having a worse time feeling like I'm not doing anything productive.
TLDR: OP can't find work, starting to lose his mind. Send emergency rescue ferrets.

hey, I'm sure there are plenty of other people in your shoes! hence why they had so many applications! comforting isn't it?!

I suppose. Still a bad day. Thought I'd found a place that I could contribute and see something through. It's been contracts so far for me.
