This is so sweet. I hope she's able to keep it for many years to come.

That is tender loving care.

As someone who moved around a lot as a child and has precious few things from that age, this nearly brought a tear to my eye. Good on you.

Nice lathework, but you're not pinning it and just supergluing it on? https://www.youtube.com/shorts/75Ec_d8OfDY

You be proud of that @OP. I know you are, but you deserve to hear it from some random strangers, too. Good on you.

I love this scene.

Nah. $5 in silicone and $1 urethane resin. Use accelerant and you'd ready for paint a perfect replica in about 15 mins.

It would also not be crooked or the wrong shape.

As a furniture restoration expert i can safely say this work costs soooo much more than one might imagine. Doll house furniture is about as expensive as real furniture.

This was one of the toys she brought with her from El Salvador when she moved to the US. She had another piece of doll house furniture and a baby doll. This is the only one that has survived.

Thank you for not “fixing” the wear on the paint job and the doors. I was anxious for a moment the video was going to move on to destroying the tactile memories

Nice work. There is a real sense of satisfaction of being able to use a piece of dowel you have stashed for the past 22 years because "it's still good and I'll use it for something."

You don't know how accurate this statement is!!

my father is downsizing and trying to hand off the materials that have sat in the basement for 30+ years. "do you need these random snippets of unlabled wire?"

That hits too close to home for comfort.
