Still no Blender or an easy to use Linux distro

This post is years old. Don't trust mindless repost for software advice.

Anyone have one for android apps?

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

This is like a list from the early 90's.

OBS is garbage compared to FRAPS, free but still garbage.

Why does no one list PotPlayer as a media player?

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

FWIW love audacity, great for general sound file manipulation.

"Honorary mention: Windows Explorer" I never thought I'd see this day.

f.lux is a lifesaver! It's one of those things you can't live without once you get used to it.

Also Handbrake which helps convert video files.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

WinX is also a good alternative when dvds have a software lock. I don't remember if handbreak can bypass those..

How many times are we going to repost this?

Does MPC-HC do hardcoded subtitles? I could never get good quality / same file size with VLC.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

yes, but not defaultly. one thing MPC-HC suffers from is the fact that it's shit without proper tweaking and optimization.

Blender. built in video editor, sculptor, modeling, texturing, and game engine

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Blender's NLE needs some more improvements though. However it is good enough for freeware.

rather than qBittorrent or any other P2P, use Tixati for user defined bandwidth throttling and seed-spoofing for faster file aquisition.

Similar story here. Peace, fellow blenderer.

Try Krita instead of gimp. It's way better.

I use Paint.net. basically paint with Photoshop tools

Oh, never heard of that. I will give it a try, thanks for sharing.

Here's the link: https://krita.org/en/

Isn't krita more to draw things and gimp for picture editing?

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Have you tried Microsoft Paint though?

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 2

I'm commenting so I can try it. I've been using Pixlr and it does ok. Mostly I'm cleaning up logos and matching colors for mass emailing.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Imma try both

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I use pixlr.com/editor

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It really depends on what you're doing. Krita is great for drawing and Gimp is better for photo manipulation.

Try VLC rather than MPC-HC. MPC-HC doesn't operate properly without technical and experienced tweaking and correction.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Err what? I've been using MPC-HC for years without issue, install and play, no tweaking or correction needed.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

riight, you're probably not even using a decent audio setup. the defacto audio codecs for MPC-HC are the worst ones out there

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Focusrite Scarlett 2i4 into a pair of Event 20/20 bas 3's.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

and you're not even able to hear any type of distortion originating from the pc?

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I got that setup purely for getting rid of distortion, I've not been able to discern any distortion from MPC-HC vs other sources on the pc.
