Sort of the same reason people are still here. Imgur went under new management and we’ve seen some pretty significant changes to the overall feel of the platform because of it. Much of the user base is not exactly happy with the directions they’ve taken it, but we remain here anyway. We have a base. We have acquaintances. We don’t want to start over. Change is hard.

On a more serious note, this is a social platform, the social rules are in flux, and so this post /is/ how you get people to tag them, the issue i percieve is the tags are added by post creators for help with finding the post, not help with hiding the post. That is just a fortunate side effect of well tagged content. No-one owes you labour though... soooo... yeah, just skip it

the reason is clear to me, they are invested in musk as an entity because they believe /they/ could be musk, so every argument they make for him, is one they would want to be able to hide behind were they ever to be a billionaire.
in the US people are closer to houselessness than wealth, most living paycheck to paycheck, and no realising that billionaires stealing their time is the reason.
