'cause Marijuana isn't all that addictive, and isn't all that harmful.

Responsibilities made me quit pot.
I imagine maybe someday if I am allowed to retire, ai may light up one for old time sake. Either that or I will die and have it written to mix my ashes with growers soil

Yeah, news flash. There is a difference between addictive and habit forming. I thought we all learned this by now.

Lots of people are weed addicts. Health canada claims 11 percent of users are addicts. Sure its low compared to other drugs, but to those 11 percent it may as well be cigarettes or what not, they can't get off the stuff. Spend their last dollar to get a puff. I know a guy who occasionally will get me to drive to the store, get them a 10 dollar gram, and pay me 15 bucks for the trouble. Can't go without it.

As @omgzwtfs mentioned in another comment, that’s a purely psychological addiction tho. Not physical

The damage is the same, that might be relevant for treatment and recovery though

A gram is a month supply for the occasional-user.

A frequent user would be after 7grams, or ounces for the heavy users.

One gram, occasionally, is nothing.

Lol a gram a month is super low use. I know people that will burn through many grams a day. When you have a tolerance built up and the first thing you do in the morning is smoke a bowl, you tend to need a lot. This guy smokes every day. What I mentioned is him being desperate and broke getting his gram he probably will have it gone in a day or two. Why would you assume the gram he gets from me is all he smokes in a month?

Biologically speaking, weed isn't addictive at all. The body doesn't experience withdrawals at all when quitting weed. That doesn't mean that people with addictive personalities will have an easy time stopping, but that's not the weed, that's their brain.

I get the nightsweats to the point of having to towel off and change for two weeks every time I go on a break. There is definitely a physical withdrawal period, it's just nowhere near as bad as any other drug including sugar and caffeine

Neurologically...*anything* can be addictive...that's why weed usually is.

With an addictive personality, comic books are as addictive as meth.

When our brains get wired for hypervigilance it can eventually become super habits/hobbies aka obsessions .

Not sure why I'm being downvoted for stating a medical fact.

Because “having an addictive personality” isn’t considered a medical fact, it’s a layman’s understanding of psychology, and an inaccurate understanding of the underlying mechanisms of addiction

Recovered H addict who's volunteered at a rehab for years here. Hard drugs destroy your body and leave many unable to work, causing homelessness, crime, and death. Physical addiction and reliance where you can literally die from withdrawal can't be compared to having an addictive personality or addiction to comics.

Look into Addictive personality. It may not have the physically deteriorating effects of biological addiction, but extreme cases absolutely can destroy people's lives without intervention. Don't let your own experiences diminish the experiences of others.

I'm familiar and stand by my assertion that you're conflating different levels and types of addiction
