My sister's husky is awesome. He's chatty but very quiet about it. He's not allowed to scream, simple as that. Took a lot of training but he's a very good boi. Me, on the other hand, would rather eat a bar of soap than have a husky. Too much like having a kid and that's a bucket of nopety nope from Nope town for me.
It's not the screaming that keeps from wanting a Husky. It's the exercise routine. Huskys are working dogs bred for long distance running, they need lots of it. I can't provide, hence, no husky.
Of all of these, all I noticed was the chick using a filter for her eyes, because they look unnatural when she looks at the camera, and distorted as she looks away. 'Tis a shame
5 of my 7 are husky or mixed. 248 husky/malamute rescues through my home in the past 7 years. Less than 10 were noisy like in the video. But holy hell, those 10 were fuckin loud. My super-mutt is the rabble rouser with no husky in him. The culprit: Mr. Bernie Sanders
They're lovely, but sadly, I can't take care of a dog properly to own one. I know my limits, and a dog exceeds them. Its a sad reality, but hey, I know how great they are, and I love seeing them owned by people who can treat them well.
You seem so too...*squints.* TheDildoOfConsequences...you're a good person too. Never thought that would be a sentence I wrote today, but meeting new people is good, I suppose!
I’m on my second. Huskies only scream if their owners encourage it for the likes. But they have huge personalities and are definitely not for everyone.
Yelling on this level is definitely something these owners have encouraged, knowingly or otherwise. My childhood dog was a husky and he was actually a very shy dog, just very capable of making noise if he got the sense that you wanted him to. Many times I'd hear my mother and my dog having a "conversation" where she'd ask him questions with an over-the-top tone of voice and he'd reply like he was trying to enunciate English words.
I had 2 for a short while (wasn't for me at the time) They had the 2 goofiest personality's very sweet and gentle but NEVER ENDING energy not managed leads to trouble and destruction. I still miss them 10 years later.
Yup, friend of mine used to own an older, well trained husky. Only time he got that noisy was when you were trying to get him to come in from the snow or out of a kiddie pool full of ice. Dog had personality but was pretty chill most of the time. But oh god the shedding.
I used to be a lodger in my landlord's house. He bought a husky and it basically destroyed all my stuff. She was amazing though. One day he asked me to sit for her and I took her to see my family (they had a big garden) my mum shelled fresh peas and fed them to the dog, who loved them. The next week the dog trashed the vegetable rack in the kitchen. I never confessed to my landlord where she got her newfound love of veggies.
My mom had a Husky. I don’t hardly ever heard him make a noise. Is this something that the owners reward? He was a mellow dog. Oddly enough, he did have an unbridled hate for this one little girl from done the street. We never understood why. My mom felt so bad. The little girl would come to swim at my mom’s to play with my kids and he’d just go crazy. Snarling and growling at her, baring his teeth. Even if we locked him up he’d beat on the door. It was weird.
Yea, no doubt. I don’t know what the issue was. I often wonder if maybe she was a budding serial killer or something. Dogs are good judges of personality. My poor mom, though, she was heartbroken that this dog she loved was so angry with the girl.

So true. I had to put an electric wire up to keep my mom’s in the yard. He’d scale the privacy fence by any means possible.

God no. Huskies are nuts.

And they shed an entire husky worth of fur every two weeks.
