A lot of people are gonna die, and it's not all our governments fault.

Unfathomable stupidity. I've been on his back about this for weeks. Not a few days after one of those chats he'd come in bragging about how great the weather was at the track and how he hit up a *few* bars with friends afterwards, statements I'd put money on being made in an attempt to agitate me a bit. His insistence on ignoring common sense forced me to alter my behavior around him; wouldn't let him sit close to me, didn't stay in the same room, 6ft at all times ect. Now, not a full two weeks after my last reminder, the crew gets a text that we should all get tested due to this idiot testing positive. Fan-friggen-tastic. The only ray of hope for everyone in the shop is that we're all forced to wear masks.

Kids, this thing is real. It can happen to you. It can be "that bad". This guy has been across half of creation in the twelve days since his initial contact. He must've been in direct contact with a dozen people and been in close proximity to dozens more OUTSIDE of work. Statistically speaking, someone he's been near has less than 30 days to live before they die alone and have their body sent to the freezer truck until a furnace is found to throw them in. Then there's the people they infect, and the cascade of infections afterwards. THIS IS NOT A JOKE. THIS IS THE MORBID REALITY. Your life is in the hands of others and they don't give a damn about what isn't theirs. Stay home when you can, wear a damn mask when you can't. This isn't difficult, it's barely an inconvenience. It shouldn't take government or god or anyone else te get the population to follow an ounce of common sense. Sure, everything could've been locked down and a LOT of procedures followed (that's a whole other political shit show) , but the real killer is people's inability to forsake social entertainment for even two weeks.

Rant complete, you may now resume quarantine activities.

Can't fix stupid, but the government exacerbated a lot of it.

Of course it's all the governments fault. It was downplayed and called a hoax by the fucking president.

I never judged people before Corona. We don’t need to agree to be friends. I judge EVERYONE now and it’s hugely due to the Cult of Trump

Personal nightmare of mine. work for an alarm company, where we have to monitor fire alarms 24/7. If one of us tests positive, that’s it. ~

~ We’re done. No coming back. We’d have to just transfer all our monitoring to someone else and pack up, and could never open back up

Does this person have other risk factors? Without a comorbidity the survival rate is 99.967% according to the CDC.

Surviving isn’t always the best outcome. There’s a good chance that you won’t come away from the virus without some longterm damage.

If you read the post, OP makes clear that their coworker has likely spread to many others

It's never the dip shits that die. They just catch it, spread it, and kill others.

Conservatives and Republicans are too cowardly to fight for American lives and the future of our country with us. They make it sound like...

I've heard that. "My grandpas didn't fight in two world wars.." and I'm thinking "Yeah, and they trained to fight in gasmasks you snowflake"

I have also trained to fight in gas masks myself, and I can say it’s no joke.

...they’re courageously standing up for their freedoms, but it’s a lie. The truth is they gave up and just laid down in front of the enemy.

As one of "those" people you blaming for this. I WEAR A MASK. At work, on deliveries, outside my house. The ones who don't can fuck off.

You’re only admitting to cognitive impairment by saying you support and claim membership in a group that you yourself just called idiots.

5 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 3

You literally support the group that says the opposite of what you know to be true, and encourages the entire country to kill each other.

Ergo; you are too cowardly to join the rest of us in fighting for the future if our country. To you, conservatives and republicans are...

So you agree with everything that liberals and democrats do? Hypocrisy is real here.

Apparently about 40% of Americans don't plan on getting vaccinated when a vaccine becomes available. You just can't fix stupid.

Im not getting the trump reelection vaccine

The survey was loaded to show that result. I work in a hospital and I don’t plan on getting the vaccine initially. It’s being rushed with 1/

no idea of possible side effects or effectiveness. It takes years of testing to get a safe, effective vaccine and they’re doing this in 2/

months. I’d have answered “no” to the survey as well. I’ll wait until it’s proven safe and reliable. (No I’m not an anti-vaccer. I get my 3/

flu shot and all other immunizations as needed. I just don’t trust a rushed product when my life is potentially on the line.)

So much this.

I feel the same way. A lot of my friends also in healthcare feel that way too.
