Please don't get me wrong. I'm thrilled that 7mil people showed up to protest on Saturday. However I genuinely feel like I'm the only one who sees the writing on the wall. The GOP will never surrender power, no matter how much you ask nicely. They have every government branch under their control and there is no checks and balances. They have the media and all the money. Next year ICE will have a budget of 75 BILLION dollars. That's 50 billion dollars more then what the USMC gets.

Democrats will not save us. The midterms will not save us. The military isnt going to save us. We the people have to be the ones to stop this. If you guys want to REALLY protest and getting changes without bloodshed? Then we need a general strike. NO ONE goes to work or pay taxes until tRump is impeached as well as removing all GOP politicians who supported him.

However this will never happen. Most of America cannot be bothered to care. I only see this ending with either bloodshed or we just basically let the fascists win.

People are leading very busy lives while simultaneously living in relative comfort. For people to rise up, there needs to be 15+% unemployment and abrupt tangible losses of the things we like. I wish more people could be made to care in advance for more abstract reasons, but that’s not gonna happen

Any kind of violent outburst will give them exactly what they need to say 'SEE, WE TOLD YOU THEY ARE RADICAL VIOLENT LEFTISTS'. I don't know what the answer is, but going through the court system for absolute transparency should be done. When it goes to the SC(R)OTUS it places them in such a way that even THEY have no choice but to rule against this administration.

I've given up tbh. I've written and called representatives. I've protested. I've tried to educate. It's just beating a brick wall at this point. My brother moved to Australia a few years ago and absolutely loves it. My wife's firm has offices in Canada and England, and they've offered to sponsor and help her move to either of them. It's just a matter of making the final leap and putting a plan in motion at this point.

Over 7 million people give a shit, lots of people are just as frustrated as you. Sharing that frustration is valid, especially if it helps you cope. That said - by posting you are affecting others. For every post expressing defeat and disillusionment without a dedicated call to action, you are instilling those negative feelings in others, and potentially hurting the cause. Your feelings are valid. If you have the energy to vent, try to use that platform to motivate and inspire action.

Deal with the fact that a group of civilians couldn't beat the US government, you can't because it is obviously true.
Deal with the fact that any violence would frighten people that are uncommitted to either side, you can't because it is obviously true.
