Scans
Updating, since I have not been seen in a while. I have other posts about my history if you guys wanna read them. They are pretty long. For the short of it. I have cancer and had a large tumor in my leg removed in August. I've had several other life changing surgeries in this last year and it's been a bumpy ride. I had scans recently to check for recurrence in the surgery site in my leg and I'm happy to report that it is currently clear aside from inflammation and fluid pockets. I will currently be getting scans every 4 months in the leg and in my chest area to look for spread or recurrence because the doctors were able to get the large tumor but were not able to remove all the cancer as it was in compromising places in my leg. Drawback to keeping my leg is the higher chance of recurrence or spread.

I'm still trying to process my mother's terminal diagnosis and even that is a hell of a rollercoaster emotionally. I hope you have...

...a solid support system and of course great doctors. Can I do anything to support you?

I appreciate your post. I'm so sorry to hear about your mother. Support systems are also important for loved ones. I hope you have one too.
