31 Days of Horror films. 20/31

Continuing my Spooky Season horror film watch for every day of October. I'm going to try to see things I've missed over the years but will probably see a few classics and personal favorites along the way.

Last night’s film was Near Dark (1987) available on the high seas, and physical media.

Near Dark (1987) basic plot description: A young man meets a mysterious woman who turns him into the newest member of the group of vampire drifters that she travels with and everything goes bad.

It really sucks that this film is not readily available to watch anywhere other than on physical media due to a rights issue with DeLaurentiis, but last night I dusted off the DVD to watch a personal favorite. More people should have the opportunity to see this hidden gem from Kathryn Bigelow starring a few members of the cast of Aliens. It’s a great vampire film that has possibly one of the best performances from Bill Paxton and really only has one flaw in my opinion which is a weak resolution to the story.

For my meaningless rating, I give it a ridiculous blood transfusion.
