I chose the bear because of the face he/she is making.

While I was on vacation, out on the busy streets of this little beach town in Italy at sundown, I realised, consciously and suddenly, that I'm not well, and I haven't been for years. Among other stuff, I saw all those happy couples, enjoying the games and the music, while I was torturing myself, wishing I had what they have, not being able to enjoy my surroundings because of it.

I realised I have gotten really bad at making friends, let alone build relationships. There was one human being suppporting me through it, but now that's gone and done too. I'm feeling more alone than never, and I'm just concentrating on work to keep my mind off things.

Now that I'm back home, I'm not sure how to go about looking for a therapist, or what to talk about, and I'm scared of looking up anything related to this topic online, because if I search it, then it becomes real, and it scares me. But I know I need it.

If you read all of this, thank you for your time. If not, thank you for passing by.

Go through your insurance to find a covered therapist, if you can. That shit is expensive. I hope you find your happiness.

It does get better if you’re unsure about a therapist talk to your regular doctor. They may be able to help you find meds that balance you

I thought I'd go to my family doctor, and ask if she could recommend me someone, but they're only open on week days. I work on week days.

they should be able to do a referral with just a phone call...or schedule at lunch?

I always thought it would take longer than my 1 hour lunch break to discuss it with my doctor.

There will never be a perfect, good, better, or right time to do it. Do it now. Just start googling for therapists near you. Also, do not

It's going to be hell. But I need it.

Let's say right now your pain is an 8. Facing it hard will briefly make it a 9... but then it will go down to a 7... 6... 5...

I have been told it's going to be hell for the first year or so. And I'm okay with that, cause if it won't, then it means it's not working.

Right now it's anxiety that's the biggest problem. Going to the doctor's, taking the steps.
