I like my farming job of over 20 years... but I love my new ranching job dealing with animals.
I knew near nothing about cattle or horses two weeks ago, but I've learned a lot and I love it!
Anyway, two full time jobs to just pay for my tiny house project.... then when I'm 97 years old, I can live for a month in peace before I die.
I like physical work. (Fuckin A)
I'm just so happy I have two full time jobs. :)
...before anyone comments; I'm very well versed in energy consumption/conservation. :)
Also: if you're in a similar boat, get good boots.

I’m a piano technician and a general contractor. I absolutely love it when spring comes around and I get to do physical labor. It usually takes a couple weeks to get back into shape at 47 but it makes me feel good and I sleep better

Would you also like a third job making $0 per hour sharing cute animal pics acquired at your other job? Benefits include a warm fuzzy feeling and upvotes.

How does one get 2 full time jobs? Surely one full time job does not leave enough time for a 2nd?
rbudrick
As long as you are happy. Otherwise 2 jobs is nopes for most.

Your side job pays more than your salary?
MyLittlePonyHentai
My name is Pancho I work on a Rancho,
I get paid 5 pesos a day.
I go home to my girlfriend Lucy,
she gives me some pussy,
and she takes my 5 pesos away.
mrpink83

Who makes good boots? Ned safety toe and want tank or jump style, but EVERYWHERE people mention a fav anything since 2020 is "was good".
laserfrog
Years of recommendations of this boot or that, but then anything on reddit, reviews, forums, etc since 2020 is they went to shit.

Whatever you wear to your side job is your ranch dressing. Physical work is awesome, btw.

Take care of your body. My Dad was like you in that he liked physical work and growing plants and raising animals. He was a farmer and electrician. Over the years he did a lot if it outdoor work in adverse temperatures. He's in his 70's now and the abusive temperatures and vibrations caught up with him. Bad arthritis in his hands, and Raynaud's disease. Despite all that, he still misses being able to farm.
laserfrog
Do his toes itch? The covid toe / chiblains thing? it fucking sucks and I did not even do it with a scalding shower this time.
AllUsedUp
No, that is one problem he doesn't have. It's his hands, they are extremely sensitive and cool temperatures (not even cold/freezing) can cause them pain. He has special gloves that he sleeps with to keep his hands warm when he sleeps otherwise the pain will keep him awake.
laserfrog
That's rough. I am okay for sleep but holy cow does driving in the winter fucking hirt my hands.
mrpink83
I do. I eat well. I stretch. I appreciate the dad thing, as I'm 42.
CALAMOSCOPYJANE
I was fine until I hit 50. Then it all kind of dropped off a cliff.
mrpink83
Keep stretching! That's what I hear, man!
KellyCrazyCatLadyinTraining
And heat therapy! Like, I tell people to soak in a hot tub for 15-minutes, then spend 30 minutes stretching every part of their body while still in the hot tub. It. Does. WONDERS.
kathlTvVillain

And not get paid lol
mrpink83

kathlTvVillain

OP can tell one way or the other, but there's likely room and board along with that. Still not a lot, but better if that's your gig.
mrpink83

I know people who work full time and can't make rent and food. Shits gonna break before shit gets better for regular folk
mrpink83
If you can't pick shit up, get a driver's license and haul the drunks from job to job.
mrpink83
Yeah. I fully support anyone who just wants to help out. Just start..... put yourself out there. Let yourself be known that you can pick up a few bags or something.
