How is this balanced?

So I've been playing this game since it came out and I was enjoying it at first but now it's just to a point where it's ridiculous. This game has gotten to the point where if you're a new player to this game you are, for lack of a better word, fucked. The people you will be paired with are going to almost always be substantially higher than you in both gear score and reputation level. For me I can't even try out a new character because I am being paired up with people that, due to their score, will one shot me. Some peoples argument here would just be "Get better at the game." Now that is a lot easier said than done especially in the cases where you go up against someone who is a 108 gear score, because at this point you better hope you are the master of dodging, parrying, and blocking and able to get nonstop hits in before their revenge activates you are screwed. This is just one of the reasons why i have an issue with this game, don't even get me fucking started on that buying scrap bullshit. Now while I am here complaining about the game I also think the game itself is an awesome concept, the chess game like strategy you use to fight people and those epic moments where you take on a bunch of players and end up winning!!! However, these positive are horribly clouded by the fact that the game has problems with gear score, matchmaking balancing, connectivity (which I didn't even get into), and a couple other problems not worth mentioning. Like I said i think this game has awesome moments it just needs to fix the problems that takes those moments away from us, or maybe it's just me.
TL;dr. For honor is a great game with horrible flaws....
