ugh

We're both full time university students, taking computer science, but his grandparents set up a nice trust fund for him when he was young and he's living with his mum until he graduates, so he can afford gifts.
I got laid off from my part time job recently and just can't afford to get him anything, everything is being paid for with filthy loan money. I'd just feel so guilty if he got me a gift and I got him nothing, he deserves so much more than I can give him, so I said we should just get each other a card. Seriously hoping this degree is worth the money.

If you were at a part time job, you got fired.. but anyways, Valentine's Day is bullshit anyways. Just got out to eat or spend time together

There was another post of someone in a similar predicament. There was suggested a ribbon can make a great gift ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

As a dude I don't expect anything from girls. I think it's more about showing appreciation towards her. Ya know, since we fuck up a lot.

Just breakup before v-day. Get back together the day after. Problem solved.

Make him dinner after a long day and make him a nice coupon book for things like "one free back rub" or "one free hug" etc.

Why not just tell him you're broke? Any decent boyfriend will understand.

Just love him, that's all he really wants; that and nonreciprocal oral.

Don't sell your hair to get money for gifts, he probably already bought you some combs.

Next-level reference. Let's just hope he didn't sell his watch.

Make something a relationship coupon book is a pretty standard solution (one 15 minute back scratch kind of thing) it's cute and can be 1/1

Filled with things he loves also if you can afford to bake him a treat he would love that too.
