Simple, because people get totalitarian socialism confused with democratic socialism.

People also get Democratic Socialism confused with Socialism. Just putting 'socialism' in the name doesn't actually make it socialist

Only idiots think that a bit of social justice is the same as communism.

Come to Denmark, we've got bacon and porn, and apparantly a good business environment. Oh, and we'll tax you like there's no tomorrow

Just because one system works for a country doesn't mean it'll work for them all.

On the flip side, just because it might not work for the US, doesn't mean it won't

Well fuck, better call the whitehouse and tell them to stop spreading democracy.

Exactly. Some of these are the size of a single US state.

And yet they all manage regardless of their population density, geography, or proximity to other nations with the same frameworks 1/2

What would make a union of such states so different?

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

And in case of Finland size of medium town.

You are in desperate need of some free Bernie education if you think Finland is the size of a medium town.

And one for here too: My joke was:Finland has population of about 5.5M people, which is not is not whole lot. There are cities that have more.

A Medium Town?! do you even know where Finland is on the Map? http://prntscr.com/acp5v5

I mean I probably couldn't find back with just map if dropped somewhere, like east india. But on map I can point it out.

Considering I've lived here all my life (with maybe one week in total abroad), I'm fairly certain I know where it is on map.

Do you understand concepts like per capita and GDP?

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Per capita is not infinitely expandable if the conditions are different. Population density is 4 times higher in say Denmark vs the US. 1/2

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Smaller resources can cover them than US.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

What on God's green earth does population density have to do this?

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

It means a tax dollar in the US has to cover 4 square km vs only 1 in Denmark. Costs more money to manage more space and infustructure.
