Just as expected

Sorry, you already signed for it

To me it looks like the crane operator only got out as the entire unit was inverted and and the boat had already capsized

Is this a Harlem shake clip without the audio?

4 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

This is probably something they have done at high tide multiple times and no one thought about what was different today.

4 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

I meant to do that.

4 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

This is where incoterms come in. If this one was “FOB” then all cost & risk for the freight would be borne by consignee

"Double kill"

4 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

Triple kill, that was a container gen set, depending on size easily worth over 1/4mill.

4 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

You want a safety meeting?? Cause that’s how you generate safety meetings

4 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

this needs Harlem Shake as background music

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Ohhhh, fuck.

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

The driver flipping out of the cab ? was he OK?

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

That was a spectacular display of fuck up-ery. I'm impressed.

I think you accidentally a couple of frames

4 years ago | Likes 1050 Dislikes 4

Gifs that too soon

4 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Nah. That was when the physics engine glitched. Reality has too many players online. There is this patch out that's supposed to fix that.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

There may have been a death

Did someone possibly die in the missing frames?

Makes it feel like a Harlem shake video.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Whoa that takes me back

4 years ago | Likes 34 Dislikes 0

I'm not a crane operator, but aren't they supposed to have a bunch of weights on the opposite side from the hook?

4 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

In the US the operator is obligated to know the Lifting capacity of the equipment based on how far the load is to be moved.

4 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Also you need to know if that boat can hold it, the boat buckled before it could be unhooked and that shock loaded the crane.

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Didn't you see that little bit of sand fly off at the end?

4 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Well, they still have the pier, so they've got that going for them, which is nice.

4 years ago | Likes 26 Dislikes 0

Lol, they're going to need it to pull some of that stuff back out.

4 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Yeah, but the capsized boat renders it useless! Useless, I tells ya!

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

If the container had contained fertilizer, that too would have gone.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I like the dude in blue slowly taking his clothes off

4 years ago | Likes 110 Dislikes 2

He just stood there beside the upending crane. Very brave or very stupid

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Possibly to go and dive for anyone still stuck on the boat, or the driver of the crane.

4 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 0

I think they are gonna go in after the crane operator?

4 years ago | Likes 30 Dislikes 1

Yeah you can see crane operator almost fly out of crane.

4 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

Hesitated too long and then tried to get out at the worst moment.

4 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

I think he's getting ready to jump in to try to save the crane operator, who was still hanging out of the inverted unit as it disappeared.

4 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

"Shit, well never working with cranes again... wonder if I could still make it as a stripper"

4 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

He is getting ready to jump in and upright the ship

4 years ago | Likes 46 Dislikes 0

No, he kept his eyes on his operator the whole time and when the operator fell out of the cab he was prepping to jump in and save him.

4 years ago | Likes 20 Dislikes 2

4 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

Do you mean that you like him.... or do you like him, like him?

4 years ago | Likes 50 Dislikes 1

I believe he was getting ready to dive in to save the crane operator.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

You can see the crane operators feet waving around as the crane goes into the water, he's 100% getting ready to dive in if he doesn't surfac

4 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

(in the video he does get him out)

4 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Thanks

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I'm very familiar with gifs that ends too soon, but I think this is the first gif I've seen that had a chunk hacked out of the middle.

4 years ago | Likes 500 Dislikes 1

Attempt to interpolate: "down...down..." "too fast, slow it- woah WOAH! FUCK!" "RUN! RUN!"

4 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

An important chunk.

4 years ago | Likes 61 Dislikes 0

I wanna see the gif of the crew explaining this to the boss

4 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Seeing the crane, generator, and capsized boat in the water pretty much sums it up.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I think it made the gif better

4 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 5

I like your thinking. +1 from me

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

I won't downvote you but I do disagree.

4 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

I will.

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

This is why we have lift plans.

4 years ago | Likes 296 Dislikes 1

1. Lift it up 2. Put it down 3. Don't fuck this up

4 years ago | Likes 37 Dislikes 0

I mean, a simple load chart would get you where you needed to be...

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

"Naw, she can handler, no problem. Ya just step back now and we gone git it ouchea way...."

4 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

What even is trigonometry?

4 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Former CAT tech, that's a 800Kw or 1Mw generator there, that thing like that should weigh about 40-50k lbs.

4 years ago | Likes 46 Dislikes 1

So that crane is prob under rated. Lol

4 years ago | Likes 31 Dislikes 1

In that scenario, if the crane does start to tip, is there anything to be done? Could you raise or retract the boom to get it under control?

4 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

I guess you could just start letting out cable of you were only trying to save the crane...

4 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

Let out the cable and tip the boom back

4 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Way before it gets tippy the load computer should be screaming at the operator that it’s at safe working limit

4 years ago | Likes 53 Dislikes 0

It looks like they didn’t raise the outriggers enough and it’s sitting on the suspension

4 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 1

It should NEVER be sitting on the suspension. EVER. Put the fucking outriggers out!

4 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

Exactly!!!!!!
