Someone posted that nazi punching video, imgur mods took it down. Imgur residents responded to pro-nazi actions by flooding Imgur with the same video over and over, resulting in a huge uptick in traffic/posts/engagement, and a new defacto Imgur holiday. The day before memorial day has now been declared "Punch A Nazi Day." Please respond accordingly next year.

We started posting nazis getting punched to recognise memorial day and some of us got suspended or banned. Usersub did not like that and took appropriate steps.

That's what I've heard, when I was up this morning I didn't see complaints of their posts getting taken down. It wasn't until several hours later when that started happening.
I don't think the mods are what caused it initially, just fueled the fire.
