#1 reminds me of the creatures from the DLC of Outer Wilds.

#4 "Heeeeeyyyy Portland Timbers! We salute you!" The Timbers Army always has the best tifos!

#3 Man I wish music had been my vice. Instead I got video games, and I was born too early to make money off it.

It's impressive

Long version of the gorillaz guy anyone please?

@DickSamurai Here's your (experimental extra) drawing of a "Cat pushing a watermelon out of a lake., lensball, in an illuminated manuscript, hyper realistic"

#4 I really wanted to enjoy that game, but I so deeply LOATHE rhythm game play that the first section of it killed my interest dead.

It's probably best I stopped while back. I dodged a few inbetween the last gamecube game. Windstalker I think? Hard to get into them.

The game referenced in this particular clip is "Night in the Woods", a point-and-click adventure/platform game. I wanted to like it, but...

oh crap, was thinking the zelda one. Night in the woods worked really well for me. Blazed through it once, loved a lot of it.

I muddled through the rhythm game part, but it didn't totally sour me to it. Was fun to practice though.

#1 Not often you see a Deer with a Hurdy Gurdy playing Davy Jones' theme.

Ask not for whom the gurdy hurds, it hurds for thee

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Is this another one of those Welsh things?

2 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 1

Nah, they've got deer all over the place.

Pre-11th century continental Europe or middle east.

Honestly hurdygurdys aren’t seen enough at all

2 years ago | Likes 24 Dislikes 0

To be fair, they are far from affordable. Even the "hobby" versions aren't cheap and most are wait listed.

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Ah but you see, I can get this one on Amazon for under 100$! It's barely functional and sounds terrible!

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Looked into them a while back and yes. I mean they are not mass produced that I am aware of, not enough of a market, so very much a specialty item but…ah, that pleasant sound.

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Then you're into the wrong genre of music

2 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

I see them when I seek them out, just not outside of that. Great sound in them. There is a guy who has iirc an 8 string one, andrej I think?

idk, there's so many variations to instruments. It's just so common to see on the festivals I went to back then. Like Schandmaul, Saltatio Mortis, Subway To Sally ... just the whole of medieval folk rock really :)

Saltatio Mortis is one of my favored music sources
